Description

This is a long range of sandstone cottages, built around 1820 to 1830. The cottages, numbered 70 to 90 on Hill Top Road, are built in pairs and slightly stepped up the hillside. They have stone slate roofs with evenly spaced decorative details along the eaves, and corniced chimneys. A horizontal band runs along the base of the first floor. The windows have single or two lights, with mullions (vertical bars) in square stone surrounds. The door jambs are also squared. The cottages retain their original appearance and contribute significantly to the appearance of the street.
