Description

This is a row of three sandstone cottages, built around 1820 to 1830, located on Hill Top Road. The cottages have stone slate roofs and a decorative band running along the first-floor window sills, as well as stone brackets supporting the rainwater gutter. The windows are square-mullioned, with single or two lights, set within squared stone surrounds. Doorways have squared stone jambs; number 118 features a decorative cornice supported by console brackets. The group value of the cottages lies in their contribution to the character of the street as an intact example of an early 19th-century cottage range.
