Description

Nos 20 and 22 North Parade were designed by architect J. Ledingham and built between 1907 and 1910. These three-storey buildings feature gabled fronts made of sandstone ashlar. The ground floor contains commercial chambers with shops, and there are large mullioned windows with shaped aprons below the sills. Notably, No 22 has a weathered cornice that curves up over a broad central window on the second floor, along with attic lights. The shop fronts have been modernized. No 20 has a round arched portal with a cornice that sweeps over to it. These buildings are included for their important group value.
