Description
Swan Hill is a row of cottages dating from around 1800 to 1830, with a barn-stable at the northern end that is likely associated with Frizley Old Hall. The building is two storeys high, constructed from sandstone with a stone slate roof featuring bracketed eaves and corniced chimneys. The southernmost cottage, No. 2, has a canted end, with windows and a doorway set within full-height arched recesses, and a sill band at the first floor. The windows are of two lights with square mullions, and the doorways are plain with squared jambs. The barn-stable at the far north end includes a segmental voussoir archway and features blind triangular and oval panels at the first floor level.
