Description
This building is a barn dating from the 17th century, located approximately 100 meters northeast of East Riddlesden Hall. It is constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof and features a chamfered plinth. The barn has a central recessed cart entry supported by jowelled timber posts and timber lintels. On either side of the cart entry, there are Tudor-arched, chamfered doorways with quoined edges. Flanking the cart entry are later slatted openings with stone cills and lintels, as well as round-arched, chamfered slit-vents. The roof has ashlar coping, and the rear of the barn displays quoins. There is an opposing cart entry with quoined jambs, a wooden lintel, and shaped corbels on either side. To the left of the rear, there are two 2-light openings with chamfered edges, although the mullions have been removed. The right return features a plinth and a basket-arched doorway with a chamfered, quoined surround and a board door, along with three rectangular quoined openings and additional round-arched slit vents. Inside, the barn has a later queen post roof.
