Description
Guy's Cliffe is a terrace of villas built around 1850, located on Undercliffe Lane. This well-preserved two-storey and basement terrace features stepped pairs of villas, constructed from thin sandstone "brick". Most of the villas have two bay fronts, except for No 13, which is a double fronted detached villa. Architectural details include a plinth band, a first floor sill band, a bed mould to the frieze, and console bracketed eaves cornice. The roofs are covered with Welsh slate and have corniced chimneys. The windows are set in architrave surrounds, with the inner windows of each pair coupled in a shallow central recess, and doorways located below. The ground floor features tripartite outer windows, while the porches are coupled and recessed, flanked by quarter pilasters and a central full-width pilaster. The doors are four-panel with rectangular fanlights above.
