Description

This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 80 metres to the north-east of East Riddlesden Hall. It is constructed of coursed stone with a stone slate roof and features an aisled design. The barn has two pairs of round-arched and gabled wagon entrances, one of which retains its original door. There are trefoil-headed mistal doorways on the sides of the wagon entrances and round-headed vents with decorated spandrels. The building is topped with ashlar coping and gable finials.

Inside, the barn has a stone floor and cow stalls in the aisles. The interior includes jowelled arcade posts resting on padstones, with curved braces connecting to the arcade plates and tie-beams. The roof is supported by king-post trusses with braces leading to the ridge and trenched purlins.
