Description

This building is a threshing barn and stable located to the west of Berton Under Edge Farmhouse, dating from the mid 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features stone slate roofs and irregular quoins. The lower stable range is two stories high, with the east front showcasing a central doorway framed by large stone jambs and a lintel, accompanied by a small window to the left. Above this doorway, there is a small taking-in door on the right. The upper floor of the south gable wall includes a larger taking-in door. The barn, which is L-shaped and situated to the north, has a large double door entrance and an upper two-light window to the left. The small north-east cross wing contains a doorway and a small window, with an additional small window located above.
