Description

This is a late 19th-century sewer gas lamp made by the Webb Company, located 25 meters southeast of the junction with Antrim Avenue in Sheffield. The lamp is constructed from cast iron and features a conical shape with a domed cap. It is supported by curved brackets at the top of a fluted round column that has a bulged foot and ladder rests. The lamp stands on a round pedestal with a plinth, and each side of the pedestal has a moulded panel displaying the maker's name. At the time of the survey, the glass was broken and the lamp was not functioning.
