Description
The causeway between Dog Kennel Pond and Morley Pond is a late 18th-century structure built for the Wentworth estate. It is made of coursed, squared sandstone and measures approximately 33 metres in length. On the downwater side, it features a five-arched blind arcade with triangular cutwaters in between. Both the downwater and upwater sides have matching parapets. The segmental arches spring from the cutwaters, and there is a continuous ashlar band at road level. The parapets have domed ashlar coping that sweeps around to finish at circular end piers.
