Description

SK48NW CATCLIFFE OLD SCHOOL LANE (north side, off) 7/2 Manor Farmhouse II Farmhouse. Late C18. Coursed, squared sandstone, Welsh slate roof. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys with attic; 3-bay front with wing to rear right. Plinth, chamfered quoins. C20 door to right of centre in stone architrave with cornice. Flanking windows have C20 casements in projecting square-faced surrounds. lst-floor windows the same with blind, narrower window over door. Shaped kneelers, chamfered gable copings. Truncated brick end stacks. Rear of main range has 2-light mullioned stair-window with square-faced surround and chamfered mullion; similar window below part-blocked. Right return: C20 conservatory not of special interest.
