Description
This is a combination farmbuilding dating from the late 18th century, located immediately to the east of Wood End Farmhouse in Kirk Branwith. The building is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond and features stone slate eaves courses on part of its pantile roof, although some sections now have 20th-century tiles. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, with four bays on one side and five on the other, enclosing a corner of the farmyard.
On the left side, there is a barn with small double doors on the right beneath a segmental arch, and a decorative vent above. To the left, there are three cruciform vents along with two rows of other decorative vents positioned above, and a mid-height boarded hatch.
On the right side, the cowhouse and stable have three boarded doors with windows in between, as well as a boarded door to the first floor on the left, all featuring segmental brick arches. The building has cogged eaves leading to a hipped roof.
