Description

The Temple and Icehouse, located approximately 170 metres to the south-west of Brodsworth Hall, is a garden structure likely built in the early 19th century for the Thellusson family. Constructed from ashlar limestone, the icehouse is covered by a raised earth mound that has access from the rear. Atop this mound stands a tetrastyle Doric temple, featuring an entablature and corner dies connected by a damaged balustrade. Inside, there is a semi-domed niche.
