Description

This barn, located approximately 10 meters southwest of number 58 on Jebb Lane in Darton, is likely from the 17th century. It is constructed of thinly coursed rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has five internal bays and a central square-headed cart entry with an oak lintel. There are blocked ventilation slits, and the gable copings are chamfered on moulded kneelers. There is an opposing cart entry at the rear, and the right gable has blocked ventilation slits at the base along with ventilation holes higher up. Additionally, there is a central square pitching hole. The interior has not been inspected.
