Description

The ha-ha and garden wall at Cinder Hill Farmhouse date from the 2nd half of the 18th century. The ha-ha is made of rubble and curves around the front of the house. It features central square gate piers with domed tops and a stone footbridge that is accessed by three steps. The ha-ha is partially collapsed at the southeast corner, but along the east side, it ramps up to become the garden wall. This wall is constructed of red brick with a stone outer face and coping, and it shows traces of flues on its south side. At the west end, where the wall connects to the house, there is a quoined entrance. The structure is included for its group value.
