Description
Golden Cross Cottage is a house dated 1735, with later or rebuilt additions on the right side. It is constructed of coursed squared stone with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay facade. The central doorway has a quoined surround and a raised keystone inscribed with "Joseph/Field/1735." There are three-light windows on both the left and right sides of each floor, although the mullions have been removed and replaced with 20th-century glazing bars. To the left, there is a single-storey addition, and to the right, a lower addition, neither of which is of special interest. At the rear, there is a continuous outshut. The interior has not been inspected.
