Description
This barn, located along the west side of the farmyard at Home Farm, likely dates back to the 16th century but was encased in stone during the 17th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. There is a cart entrance on the right with a square head, and a small quoined entrance on the left with a cambered head. The barn also has later window openings.
Inside, there are approximately five frames with principal rafter trusses. Some of these trusses have slender vertical studding, while others are infilled. The wall posts are straight-braced to tie-beams. A detailed inspection of the interior was not possible during the survey conducted in 1986.
