Description
The Mabson graveslab and footstone, located approximately 5 metres south-east of the south aisle of the Church of All Saints, date from around 1723 and 1727. Made of sandstone, the graveslab features line decoration along the sides and simple decoration at the top. It commemorates George Mabson of Darton, a yeoman who died in 1723, as well as his daughter Dorothy, who died in 1720. The footstone is oval-shaped with simple line decoration on the sides and is inscribed with "JA 1727."
