Description
This is a raised graveslab dating from around 1652, located approximately 3 metres east of the south porch of the Church of All Saints in Darton. It is made of fine, orange-coloured stone and features moulded sides with arched decoration at the head. The decoration includes a relief of a bull, along with a skull and crossbones at each corner. The graveslab commemorates John Beaumont of Darton, Gentleman, who died in February 1652, as well as his children Sarah, John, Joseph, and Dorothy, who were the children of Will Beaumont of Darton, Gentleman. The stone is broken across the middle.
