Description
This is a graveslab located approximately 20 metres west of the south porch of the Church of All Saints in Darton. It dates from around 1746 and is made of sandstone. The slab features a moulded surround and winged skulls at the top corners. The inscription is well-cut and commemorates Mary, the wife of James Swift of Kexbrough, who died in 1746 at the age of 62. It also notes James Swift, who died in 1767 at the age of 82, along with other family inscriptions that extend up to 1835.
