Description
There are two graveslabs located approximately 10 metres south of the south porch of the Church of All Saints. One slab dates from around 1723, while the other is medieval. Both are made of sandstone.
The left slab features a plain design with simple decoration at the top and a line separating the two inscriptions. It commemorates Anthony Dury of Schires Moor, who died on 21st May 1723 at the age of 56, as well as Margaret, the wife of James Craven, who died on 23rd May 1737 at the age of 83, and James Craven of Schires Moor, who died on 8th November 1763.
The right slab is medieval and is mostly plain, except for an incised fleury cross with a stepped base.
