Description
This raised grave slab, dating from around 1770, is located approximately midway between the Parish Rooms and the east end of the south chapel of the Church of All Saints in Cawthorne. It is made of sandstone and features a moulded edge with relief decoration at the top. The slab commemorates Timothy Cudworth of Cawthorne, who died on 22nd April 1770 at the age of 85, and includes a poem. It also honors Mary, the wife of Timothy, who passed away on 18th March 1774 at the age of 78. The grave slab is well-preserved.
