ELVINGTON HEELING BOTTOMS SE 64 NE 6/29 Wind Pump in grounds of Lake Cottage 17.1.73 - II

Windpump. Probably mid C18. Pinkish-orange brick with ashlar coping. Circular in plan, tapering to neck and then widening out again. Small openings. Approximately 5 metres high. In process of having sails renewed at time of re-survey. Pevsner, N., Yorkshire: York and The East Riding, 1978, p.223.
