Description
The Herdsman's Cottage is a house built around 1840, constructed of brick and topped with a slate roof. It is a single-storey building featuring one bay on each side of the porch. The windows are timber casements with semicircular arched heads. The roof extends down over an open brick porch, which has openings with segmental heads on the front and sides. The inner door also has a semicircular head and consists of six panels. A central ridge chimney is present. The left and right return walls, facing north and south, each have two bays and feature overhanging verges supported by projecting purlins. The interior has not been inspected.
