Description

This is a parish boundary stone, possibly from the early 19th century. It is made of roughly dressed stone and stands approximately 1.75 metres high with a round head. Monk Stray was enclosed between 1817 and 1822. In 1884, Heworth, which includes parts of three City parishes, was incorporated into the City boundaries.
