Description

The Old Porch, located approximately 60 metres south of Heslington Hall, is a Grade II listed structure. This porch, now serving as a garden ornament, is constructed from sandstone ashlar. It features a round keyed archway flanked by paired Corinthian columns, along with a frieze and pediment. To the left, there is an ornamental finial, while the remains of an apex finial to the right are now on the ground beside it. The structure is extremely weathered and was once the main entrance to the original house, which has since been replaced by a copy.
