Description

The Coachhouse to The Little Hall is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Heslington Main Street. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof. The coachhouse is two storeys high and has two bays. It includes elliptical-arched carriage entrances that have an ashlar impost band and keystones. There are blocked ocular openings on the first floor and a dentil eaves band. A flight of ashlar steps is located on the right side wall, and there are diamond-shaped pigeon openings in the gables, which have brick coping. Inside, the coachhouse has a king post roof.
