Description

This is a late 18th-century to early 19th-century house located on Main Street, Heslington. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with red brick dressings and has a pantile roof. The two-storey house has two windows on the first floor. A central entrance is reached by two steps and features a four-panel door with a glazed overlight containing glazing bars. All windows are 16-pane sashes. Ground-floor openings are set beneath cambered red brick arches, while first-floor openings are under elliptical arches. The house has end stacks. A rear outshut has been added. The building is included on the list for group value.
