Description
The Lodge is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick, featuring ashlar and red brick dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the three left-hand bays on the ground floor forming a bow shape. Throughout the house, there are French windows with decorative glazing bars, mostly set under flat arches made of red gauged brick. An ornamental wrought-iron balcony is present at the window in the fourth bay on the first floor. Most windows have slanted shutters. The building has ashlar coping on the bar and the left gable, and the roof is hipped to the right, with end and ridge stacks.
