Description
No. 7 High Petergate is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the 17th century and was remodeled in the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shopfront. The front is plastered, while the rear is made of orange-grey brick in English garden-wall bond. It features a timber moulded and modillioned eaves cornice and a hipped pantile roof with brick stacks.
The exterior has three stories and one window front, with jettied first and second floors. The shopfront includes a door and overlight to the left of a large-pane window. The first-floor window is a 16-pane sash, and the second floor has an unequal 9-pane sash window. There is a Royal Insurance firemark to the right of the first-floor window. At the rear, there is a gabled front with a 4-pane sash window on the first floor. The interior has not been inspected.
