Description

This is a house dating to around 1840. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings, and has a hipped slate roof. The exterior is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays, featuring a stone plinth and a band at the level of the first-floor window sills. The windows are glazing bar sashes; those on the first floor have external shutters with three recessed panels. Ground-floor windows are tripartite, with surrounds featuring narrow pilasters supporting an entablature. A painted Tuscan porch has pilaster responds and a modillioned cornice with a blocking course. The front door has two glazed panels above two recessed panels, and a plain rectangular overlight. The eaves overhang and are coved. Two chimneys are visible, one to the left and one to the right of the roof ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
