Description

Green View is a late 18th-century house on the north-west side of The Green in Upper Poppleton. The house is constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantile roof. It is a two-storey, two-bay building with a central entrance. The entrance features a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a pilastered doorcase, topped with a modillioned cornice. Plate-glass sash windows are set beneath flat brick arches. A first-floor band runs around the building and the gables have brick coping, with end stacks. Tradition states that the house retains its original staircase.
