Description
No. 2 St Sampsons Square is a house that has been converted into part of a shop with offices above. It dates from the late 18th century and has undergone later alterations, including a 20th-century shopfront. The building is constructed of orange brick in Flemish bond, with dressings of orange gauged brick and a timber eaves cornice. It features a pantile roof and a brick stack.
The exterior is three stories high with a three-window front. The shopfront extends from No. 1 Feasegate and includes an upstairs door located at the right end. All upper floor windows are one-pane sashes with sills, with the second-floor windows painted and flat arches made of brick above them. The eaves cornice is decorated with dentils and modillions, and there is an inverted bell rainwater head at the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
