Description
15 and 16 Dove Street are a pair of houses built between 1827 and 1830. They are constructed of brown brick in Flemish bond at the front and English garden-wall bond at the rear, featuring a timber doorcase and guttering, and a slate roof with brick stacks. The guttering at the front is supported by paired block brackets, while at the rear it is on single brackets.
The houses are three storeys tall with cellars, each having one and a half bays. The half bays have pilaster and cornice doorcases with four-panel doors and overlights, which are accessed by stone steps. The cellar windows are unequal 12-pane sashes, while the ground, first, and second floors feature 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills. The window arches are flat and made of plain gauged brick, some of which are painted. The rear of the houses has stepped fenestration with 16-pane sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
