Description

No. 4 Kings Court is a house with a shop, dating from around 1600 and partly rebuilt in 1963. It features a mid-19th century shopfront. The building is timber-framed with a stucco front and a tiled roof.

The exterior has a three-storey, one-bay gabled front, with jettied first and second floors. The shopfront is framed with sunk panel pilasters and has shaped imposts beneath a dentilled cornice. To the right of the full-width three-light sash window, there is a half-glazed and panelled door with an overlight. The first floor has an unequal 15-pane sash window, while the second floor features a similar 9-pane window.

Inside, posts and wall plates are visible on all floors.
