Description

A house dating from the mid-18th century, originally known as the Old School House. Constructed of brick with stone dressings and covered by a pantile roof, the house is square in plan with a central entrance. It has two storeys and three bays. The front features a six-panel door with an overlight, flanked by original sixteen-pane sash windows with thick glazing bars. A first-floor band runs along the facade. There is a blind central window to the first floor, alongside replacement sixteen-pane sashes. The windows are topped by flat brick arches with keystones and moulded stone sills. A stepped eaves course is visible, leading to the pyramidal roof. The building was formerly used as the village school.
