Description

Holy Trinity Church is a church built in 1877 by William White, designed in the early 14th century Gothic Revival style. It is constructed of coursed sandstone with brick interior dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. The church includes a northwest tower with an entrance, a four-bay nave with a north aisle, a chancel with a five-sided apse, and a north vestry.

The tower is stepped and consists of three stages, with a plinth and quoins. On the ground floor of the north side, there is a pointed plank doorway beneath a hoodmould. The windows are lancet-shaped, and there are four ashlar bands present. The upper stage of the tower is topped with a shingled belfry and a tent roof.

The nave features a north aisle and a plinth. The second and fourth bays have two-light, cusped windows with quatrefoils above that project into gables, while there is a similar smaller three-light window. Above the sill level, there is a band. On the south side, there is a plinth, quoins, and buttresses with offsets. This side has two four-light windows and one two-light window, all featuring Geometrical tracery under hoodmoulds. The west end has a similar four-light window that incorporates Y-tracery. The north facade has a gable-ended vestry with a plinth and quoins.

An original drawing by White, dated December 15, 1874, shows a slightly different design with a central tower.
