Description

Sutton Bridge, formerly known as Elvington Bridge, is a bridge that likely dates from the late 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of magnesian limestone ashlar and features two segmental double-chamfered river arches with pointed cutwaters in between. The bridge has a three-course parapet with central refuges and splayed ends.
