Description

No. 52, Main Street is a late 18th-century house with later additions and alterations, including ranges to the left and to the rear. The house is constructed of pinkish-red brick with a Welsh slate roof. It is two storeys high, with three bays. The central entrance has a six-panel door with an overlight, set under a flat arch of gauged brick. To either side of the entrance are late 19th- to early 20th-century bay windows featuring round-headed sashes. A three-course stepped band runs across the first floor. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes with ashlar sills, set under flat arches of gauged brick. A dentil eaves band runs along the top of the house, and there are end stacks. Tumbled-in brickwork is visible to the gable ends.
