Description

Cob Hall, located at 24 Priestgate, is an 18th-century building constructed of red brick with a pantiled roof that is hidden behind a stone-coped parapet. The structure has two storeys and attics, featuring three pedimented dormers, with a central segmental pediment. On the upper floor, there are four flush sash windows set beneath flat brick arches with keystones and bracketed stone cills, which include glazing bars. The ground floor has two windows similar to those above and an additional window with three lights.

Stone steps lead up to a six-fielded panel door, which is topped by a fanlight with ornamental glazing, all set within a panelled arched reveal. The entrance is framed by Roman Doric half columns and pilasters that support an entablature and an open dentil pediment. Cob Hall is part of a group that includes No 4 and Nos 8 to 26 (even).
