Description
No. 18 Bigby Street is an early 19th-century building that stands three storeys tall, constructed from brick and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The roof features stone coped gable ends with kneelers and stacks. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. Each floor has three windows, which are hung sashes with glazing bars, and have rendered lintels and a band at the cills. The ground floor has two windows. At the base, there is a small stone plinth. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is topped by a rectangular fanlight, all set within a stucco doorcase that features Tuscan columns, a plain frieze, and a cornice. The reveals of the door are panelled, and there are foot scrapers present. Nos. 16 to 25 Bigby Street form a group with this building.
