Description

No 14 Bigby Street is a 2-storey building dating from the 18th century, likely originally part of the estate of No 11 and the Exchange Club. It is constructed of red brick with yellow brick quoins and stacks. The steep pantile roof features stone coped gable ends with kneelers and a wood eaves cornice. The building has two windows with rendered lintels and keystones, and the sashes do not have glazing bars. A stone plinth supports the structure. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels, two of which are glazed, set within an early 19th-century doorcase that has a moulded surround and a pediment on console brackets. Nos 8, 11, The Exchange Club, 12, and 14 form a group.
