Description

Scunthorpe Mill, Tighe and Company Limited, is a mid-19th century windmill tower that has been converted into offices. It was restored in 1982 and features a coursed ironstone rubble base with a tarred brick tower. The four-storey structure has single pane windows set in original segmental arched openings. The 1982 restoration included a cogged brick cornice and a wooden cap shaped like an onion, topped with a ball finial and a cross-tree. The adjoining buildings are not of special interest.
