Ford Cottage is an 18th-century house with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings and a stack, and has a colour-washed exterior. The roof is tiled with pantiles. The cottage has a two-room plan and stands with its gable end facing the road. It is a single storey with an attic, featuring two windows to the front. A board door is flanked by 16-pane casement windows, each set beneath a segmental arch. Two similar windows are located in the attic. An axial stack is present. Stepped brick eaves are visible on the left and right returns. Inside, there is an inglenook fireplace with stairs to the right.
