GV II

Farmhouse. Early-mid C19. Squared limestone with tooled ashlar dressings, yellow brick stacks and Welsh slate roof; rendered porch. Double-depth plan with 2-room central entrance-hall south front and single-room wing to rear right. 2 storeys, 3 bays; symmetrical. Quoins. Projecting flat-roofed porch with pilasters carrying plain entablature with hood; steps to 6-panel door (4 glazed panels above 2 fielded-panels) beneath cornice and overlight with geometric glazing in plain reveal and architrave. Slightly-recessed 12-pane sashes in ashlar surrounds with cambered wedge lintels and sills. Plain wooden eaves board; bracketed wooden gutter. Double-span hipped roof with 2 axial stacks to rear. Left and right returns have sashes in similar ashlar surrounds with cambered wedge lintels to front section, tooled flat arches to rear. Interior contains original open-well staircase with ramped and wreathed handrail and plain balusters, moulded cornices to front rooms, panelled doors in architraves.
