Description

Two tombstones are located 2-3 metres south of the tower of Saint Mary's Church in Roxby cum Risby. These tomb effigies date from the 14th century and have been re-set on 19th to 20th century brick plinths. They are made of limestone and are both coffin-shaped, featuring feet and a pillowed head that protrude from a coped canopy. The stones are much weathered and cracked.
