Description

This is an early 19th-century house situated within the Littlefield Allotment Gardens in Grimsby. The brick house, which has been tarred, is approximately L-shaped and includes a two-room front and a kitchen wing to the rear. It has a Welsh slate roof. The symmetrical front elevation has a three-window range and two storeys. A gabled porch with a round-headed entrance features brick impost bands, a radial fanlight, and a 20th-century glazed door. The ground floor has wide 6/6 sash windows within cambered brick arches and sills. The first floor has 3/6 sashes, with the central one being narrower and surrounded similarly. The end stacks have been extended with narrower upper shafts. On the right return is a 4/4 ground-floor sash and a 2/4 sash above. The left return retains an original 6/6 sash window. Most of the sashes are modern replacements for earlier, smaller-paned windows. The interior was not inspected.
