Includes: Garden wall at Fairlawn BARGATE. Garden wall. 1885 with later alterations. Red brick with moulded brick details. Runs the length of the Pelham Road frontage, curving round into Bargate. Entrance to Pelham Road has square piers with chamfered plinths, relief panels and moulded pedimented caps; wooden gateposts carrying wrought-iron overthrow with C20 school notice attached. Flanking wall has chamfered lower section and balustraded top section with squat square-section balusters with scrolled heads, square piers with panelled fronts and scrolled brackets to each side, moulded top rail. Some sections have balustrading replaced with C20 brickwork. Included for group value with Fairlawn.
