Description
Numbers 82 and 84 are two houses that have been converted into offices, with attached steps and railings. They were built around 1820, with some alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and feature a concrete tile roof with coped gables and a rendered gable stack. There is a first-floor sill band, and the structure has three storeys plus a basement, with a single window range. The windows include plain sash windows and a 20th-century top-hung casement, both featuring brick flat arches. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century two-light shop window with a wooden fascia to the left, and to the right, a renewed wooden doorcase with pilasters and a dentillated pediment, which includes a 20th-century glazed door and fanlight. Outside, there are stone steps leading up to the entrance, which have an incomplete cast-iron balustrade, along with matching area railings and a renewed gate.
