Description

No. 53 Beverley Road is a house that has been converted into an office equipment shop, dating from around 1825. It is built of yellow brick, featuring painted ashlar and stucco dressings, and has a slate roof with two side wall stacks, a single gable stack, and a ridge stack. The building has a rendered plinth, a first-floor sill band, a moulded wooden gutter, and a single coped gable.

The structure is two storeys high and has a four-window range of segment-headed 16-pane sashes, each with lintels and keystones. A central wooden Doric portico with fluted columns and glazed sidelights is a notable feature, along with a 20th-century half-glazed door. On either side of the portico, there are large semicircular bay windows, with the right one being larger, each containing a tripartite glazing bar sash.
